It never ceases to amaze me that texts go through when phone calls don’t.
Anyway, The Fam are all ok, people, pets and houses, although that’s all the news I’ve got. I hope everyone else came through it as unscathed as possible.
The news came at a great moment, too — I’d just got off the phone with the girl at the title company, finding out we’d probably be closing on the new Chez Loki et Suriel on Friday, said news sending my heart rate through the roof and setting my palms a-sweating. Seriously, it was like show nerves, only worse, ’cause I know how a show should go, and that helps a bit, but I have no housebuying experience and am therefore totally nervene about it.
Deep breaths. Deep breaths.
If all paperwork back and forth between lenders, title company, buyers and sellers is all in order be prepared to sign your name a lot. Pages worth of signing is in your future. We just finished closing on the sale of our house and our end was nearly half an inch thick worth of papers. I signed my name so many times it started looking like gibberish to me. Congrats on your new house.
ah, see, that’s where I score — my signature looks like gibberish anyway :D
The coolest news EVER!!! Yays!
